Glynn Physical Therapy is out of network with all insurance carriers. We are a self-pay physical therapy practice. By eliminating insurance as the middlemen, your physical therapist has complete autonomy over how long your sessions last, which techniques to use, and how many visits you need. You and your physical therapist are in control of your treatment plan, not the insurance companies.
Benefits of Self-Pay Physical Therapy
Treatment Driven by Your Needs, Not Insurance Rules Insurance companies dictate which techniques are “covered” and which aren’t. Self-pay means the physical therapist can use whatever combination of methods – dry needling, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise etc., will accelerate your recovery.
Same Therapist Every Visit In high-volume insurance clinics, you may see a different therapist each visit. You’re treated alongside 3-4 other patients simultaneously and much of your “session” is spent on machines or waiting; treatment is often provided by aides or assistants, not the licensed PT.
At Glynn Physical Therapy, you see Dr. Glynn every single time, sessions are private, one-on-one and not rushed. Continuity of care improves outcomes because your therapist knows your history, tracks subtle changes, and adjusts treatment accordingly.
No Delays Insurance-based PT often requires doctor’s orders or prior authorizations, which can delay treatment by days or weeks. With self-pay, you can often be seen within 24-48 hours. When you’re in pain, timeliness matters.
No Visit Restrictions Insurance plans typically dictate a set number of visits per year. While doctor’s prescriptions may limit the length of time of your treatment e.g. 2-3x/wk x 4 weeks. With self-pay we do not have limits set on the number or the span of your visits
